Celebrate

Join us in celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Sun City Fire and Medical Department at a grand banquet that commemorates their remarkable journey in serving and protecting the community of Sun City, the Town of Youngtown, and Citrus Point. Established in 1966 to safeguard the then-new retirement community of Sun City, the Sun City Fire District, now known as the Sun City Fire and Medical Department, has become a vital cornerstone of these communities. Over the years, they have expanded their operations to encompass three fire stations, an administrative headquarters, seven pieces of apparatus, six ambulances, and two command vehicles, covering a vast area of 17 square miles and a population of over 47,000 people. With over 100 dedicated personnel, including fire prevention, suppression, EMS, investigation, administration, and maintenance experts, as well as the support of approximately 10 volunteer fire inspectors, public education specialists, and receptionists, the department ensures the safety and well-being of their residents. The Sun City Fire and Medical Department, with their dedication to intergovernmental cooperation, efficiency, and exemplary customer service, has played a pivotal role in creating a model for fire protection, special operations, and emergency medical services in the Phoenix Valley. The Automatic Aid system, often regarded as the "Gold Standard" of emergency service delivery systems, continues to provide the fastest response to emergencies and has been operating seamlessly for over three decades. As we gather to celebrate their 35 years of unwavering service, we applaud the Sun City Fire and Medical Department for their enduring commitment to their mission, "We serve today to protect your tomorrow." Join us in honoring this remarkable journey and expressing our gratitude for their continuous dedication to the safety and well-being of our communities.
